Education

The mission of Montana Health Network education is to promote lifelong learning and excellence in practice by providing high-quality, cost-effective continuing professional development activities. MHN education is designed to maintain and increase competence in practice and to promote safe, high-quality care in a rapidly changing and complex healthcare environment.

Montana Health Network provides on-site and online clinical education addressing a broad range of educational needs.

Montana Health Network provides on-site clinical education addressing a broad range of educational needs for hospitals, healthcare workers, and out-of-industry certification. In addition, Montana Health Network is able to customize a course or organize an educational event. If there is a topic of interest not listed in our existing courses, please Request/Inquire About a Course and someone will promptly contact you. Montana Health Network also provides patient simulation in conjunction with many of its courses and this delivery method can be tailored into many educational offerings. Patient simulation offers clinical staff the opportunity to learn new techniques and refresh skills crucial to the successful treatment of patients.

As the stewards of the learning environment for healthcare professionals, the accredited continuing education community plays a critical role in navigating the complex interface between industry and the health professions. Organizations accredited to provide continuing education, known as accredited providers, are responsible for ensuring that healthcare professionals have access to learning and skill development activities that are trustworthy and are based on best practices and high-quality evidence. These activities must serve the needs of patients and not the interests of industry. (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. (2020). Standards for Integrity and independence in accredited continuing education.)

Montana Health Network is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Montana Health Network is an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center. AHA Training Centers are independent businesses that have entered into an agreement with the AHA to provide CPR, first aid, and advanced cardiovascular care training.
